Yoho National Park starts just 40 mins east of Golden and has several campgrounds within easy access to hikes and sites of interest. The link below lists the campgrounds and their closing dates all of which are open on September Long Weekend. Kicking Horse Campground is right near Field BC just 45 mins from Golden BC and the Kicking Horse River. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort will officially open for the season this Friday June 29th.
